  • All Music Guide

Ray Lynch continues to explore the interface between acoustic and electronic instrumentation, as well as between popular and classical elements, with an obvious debt to the pastoral works of Ralph Vaughan Williams. The synthesizers -- with their characteristic plucked, harp-like, and harpsichord tones -- are beautifully complemented, on almost every piece, by oboe, flute, English horn, cello, violin, viola or classical guitar, with the acoustic instruments much more prominent than on Deep Breakfast....Once again this meticulous artist has produced a sublime album of sensitive and deep compositions and sophisticated yet uncluttered arrangements.
