In Clu Clu Land, you control a cute, bloblike creature who maneuvers around a maze by grabbing poles and rotating around them. The object is to avoid sea urchins while uncovering hidden gold bars, which usually form a recognizable picture like a house or happy face. The mix of puzzle solving and action is enjoyable, but the timer is usually deadlier than the urchins. This launch title is appropriately simple, with graphics and music that fit in with the clean, arcadestyle graphics of early NES games. ~ All Game Guide
