Pros: the lryics were pretty good!

The only song I really like on this CD is hitching a ride.Everything else just sounded like regular punk,to me.I know that Greenday has a huge fan base but there not a band I'm crazy for.To me they are unique but...I don't know.I think overall this sin't a bad CD not a must,must buy in my point of view.But it is fun something you can sorta enjoy.But it's not CD I wanna listen over and over again to.WHY??! simply not into them but Nimrod is a hell lot better then the later CD like America Idoit.Not bad good lryics thou!

And by the way please don't be put off by how the person below me said that this album rates up there with Metallica-Ride The Lightning, NFG-Sticks and Stones, and Sum 41-Does This Look Infected? because I can't stand New Found Glory and my sister has the new Sum 41 album Does This Look Infected? and it's a load of rubbish (every song sounds exactly the same) and I ain't really listened to Metallica so just do yaself a favour and get this album.
I don't care if you have to steal it just get it cos every song will blow you away.

this has to be one of the best cd's in history. this rates up there with Metallica-Ride The Lightning, NFG-Sticks and Stones, and Sum 41-Does This Look Infected?

I have had this album since April 2001 and it is still the most listened album in my CD collection. I am a huge fan of Green Day and punk music and if youre new to the band I recommend this album or International Superhits!

Green Day is absolutely the greatest main-stream punk band ever! Nimrod is freakin awsome (a lot better than Insomniac) Green Day is excellent and my balls are huge! HAHAHA!

Second only to insomniac (and not by a very long way), this album has real variety, with tracks like good riddance(time of your life) contrasting with take back.

I'm still not sure whether this is better than 'Dookie', but the most noticeable thing about Nimrod is the sheer number of brilliant songs. The power and variety rarely lets up, with the fast, noisy 'Platypus' one minuite, and the mellow likes of 'Good Riddance' the next. But the album does not rely on a few good songs and hits you, track after track, with energetic melodies. Only 'Last Ride In' and 'King For A Day' seem out of place here, which out of 17 songs is not bad! Along with 'Dookie' and 'Americana' by The Offspring, this album changed my life, and the way I listen to music.

this cd is by far, the best cd green day has put on the music shelves. all their other cds were really good, but they sounded alike on most occations. this cd had diversity among the songs, yet it still was a definate punk album. if you're going to get a green day cd, get this one.
