    Great Camera for the Money

    Pros: Price, picture quality, shaprness, size

    Cons: Aklaline batteries, flash refresh

    Best camera out there for under $250.00. Only downside is flash refresh time. A little long but then 99% of my photos are outdoors. Nikon quality at a great price.

    Good start up camera

    Pros: Excellent picture quality, Ease of use

    Cons: Slow recharge after flash, Slow image processing, LCD turns off after each shot.

    Excellent quality pictures, ease of use, battery life, affordable pricing, and it's compact size and design all make this a good start up camera. Why just a start up? Here's why? NOT SO GOOD: The biggest problem is the lenght of time the cam...era takes to recharge after flash. Not only that but also the slow image processing rate after a picture is taken and this is both with or without the flash on (3 to 5 seconds wait). Also, after you take a picture, while the camera is processing the image, the LCD shuts off for about 2 seconds then turns back on. Reviewing picture you've taken is also be a task. Also, there is no center gridline or center marker on the LCD or viewfinder for centering your object. If you can overlook, or not be annoyed by the NOT SO GOOD, then this is excellent camera.     Pros: Compact size, easy to use, bundled software.

    Cons: Picture quality, inconsistent auto-focus.

    The Nikon 4600 is impressive on paper but not so much in reality. The strengths of this camera lie in its compact and efficient design as well as its ease of use. Nikon includes some good software features - again, all very easy to use. The camera ...generally performs well - or, at least, as expected under normal conditions. But in low light, it's AF is very slow to focus and frequently misses - something unacceptable in an entry-level point-and-shoot. The biggest surprise with the highly rated 4600 was photo quality. Though image quality/resolution was generally good, colors were well off the mark - too much so, even after touching up. Compared to similarly priced cameras, this one is only average.     Cons: Movie mode lacks sounds

    This is a quality camera for the price and features. I did extensive research and found the Nikon to be the best camera for the price. Most camera manufact. do not include AV cables. Nikon does. I have never owned a Nikon camera, but expect this came...ra to last many years. Read more Less

    Pros: easy features

    Cons: bump the switch every time I take it out of the bag

    Low end, easy to use, lots of features that really work!

    For someone who just wants to take everyday pictures, replacing the old 35 mm camera, this is the way to go.

    Cons: Flash Refresh Time

    I love this camera. I take it everywhere! It's so compact. Not bulky. The only thing I don't like about my Nikon Coolpix 4600 is the flash refresh time. If I'm taking tongs of pictures (like I did during the holidays), I have to wait a li...ttle while for the flash to refresh so I can take another picture. This camera was my first digital camera. It's perfect for those who have never owned a digital camera and don't want anything to confusing or hard to operate. Definitely recommend this camera. I love it! Read more Less

    Very compact, terrible pictures, even worse flash

    Cons: Pictures come out blurry even in bright sunlight. Flash refresh takes too long

    I bought this camera because I got a very good deal for it, price-wise. However, I would have rather spent a little more money and get a better camera. It is difficult to get good pictures, even in bright sunlight. Pictures almost always come out blu...rry. Don't even think about using the zoom, 'cause the blur just gets worse. And it takes over 10 seconds to refresh the flash, so if you want to capture the moment in low-light conditions, make sure the moment is planned! Read more Less

    Good Starter's Camera

    I enjoy taking my little camera everywhere, and in the summer, use it outside all of the time. I do get a tad frustrated at the slowness between taking pictures. The LCD screen goes blank after the picture, and the flash is slow to charge. Also, ther...e is no sound with the movie. I use my camera a lot, and do really like it. But, to do over again, I may have looked for a mic for movie mode, and paid a bit more attention to the camera's speed. Read more Less

    Pros: photo quality for the price

    Cons: slow between shots and no sound when taking video

    Great camera for the price. Lots of features on the camera. I hate how slow it is to take a picture using the flash. I guess you take what you can get.
