    Pros: image quality excellent, abundance of user friendly functions.

    Cons: lenses and accessories quite costly.

    Image quality as good as a similar camera at twice the cost. Quality and durability very good. Have taken thousands of pix's with mine and love it more each time I use it. Overall would recommend to a friend, you won't go wrong with this beau...ty. Read more Less

    Fantasic DSLR

    Pros: Great pics, loaded with functions, easy to use

    Cons: Converted me 100% to digital & I sold all my film cameras - never going back :-(

    I have two years of experience owning this camera and purchased after owning a Nikon D70, and lots of film cameras like F5, N90 and N70. I was slow to invest in a DSLR camera because I was never pleased with the picture quality; especially skin tones... and overall image quality. The D200 was the first DSLR that converted me 100% to digital because the image quality was fantastic and I could still use all my Nikon lenses. I purchased the extra vertical grip and it made shooting pics easier and balanced the camera in your hand. Read more Less
