You can shoot sharper, clearer and without blur with Nikon's ingenious VR Optical Image Stabilization technology improving stability by automatically compensating for camera shake. With Nikon Optical VR Image Stabilization you can shoot at shutter speeds up to three stops slower than other wise possible without camera shake blurring your pictures.

The Zoom Nikkor glass lens gives you the power of 3x optical zoom lens, 38mm-116mm (35mm equivalent) while Macro capability lets you get as close as 1.6 inches. This combination is supported by Nikons' world-renowned optical technology delivering crisp, clear images.

Pros: Design simplicity, affordability, function - in any order you want it
Cons: Smooth finish can get slippery
In very short words "bang for the buck". I have tried almost all camera brands, except for some that you need not to bother. Shutter speed is pretty good - you cant compare it to a D-SLR, but with the right settings you will be able... to snap photographs easily. The camera is very sensitive to input, e.g. the buttons dont need to be muscled. And most of all the clarity of the images, what you see is what you get. With almost all cameras, 3x optical zoom is standard. Nikon's digital zoom, combined with the VR feature, works really well. It would be nice if Nikon included an SD Memory card or a case The only thing I do not like, is the all around smooth surface finish. Since it has a 3 in LCD - w/c is great btw, there's barely any space to place your fingers, chances are you will drop this camera with sweaty or wet hands. Read more Less

Pros: sleek design,portable,large display screen
Cons: power button,slow shutter speed
Poor design with power button making it easy to turn on unintentionally just by holding camera and slow shutter speed for taking individual pictures on demand
