    Pros: The Perfect value Point & Shoot digital camera

    Cons: shutter lag

    This is the perfect point and shoot digital camera! I gives the best value for your money. It uses AA batteries which is very practical for people on the go because you don't need to look for a power socket in case you run out of batteries and ne...ed to recharge. The design of the casing is very handy and it won't eaily slip like most thin digital cameras. The features help a lot in creating the best shot for different tyoes of sceneries. It takes good videos too. I just bought my Nikon Coolpix L6 this Christmas, just in time for all the parties and the New Year's fireworks display. So far, it has performed pretty well and I'm extremely satisfied with the purchase. Read more Less

    Pros: Battery Life, beautiful shots

    Cons: I have problems with the close ups

    Wow. I received this camera for Christmas '06, and could not be happier. My old camera was a Nikon CoolPix 2100, and the only reason I wanted to replace it was because of a broken battery door. I replaced it with another Nikon, because, come on......how can you buy a better camera than a Nikon? The CoolPix line is nice because it is so user friendly, and I really like the HUGE screen!! It's nice that they finally did away with the eyehole/viewfinder. I never used mine on the 2100, so it was pretty much a waste of space. If you want an easy camera to use, that gives you the same quality pictures of a DSLR, buy this camera!!! Read more Less

    Cons: Shutter Lag.

    Our old camera that we replaced was a Nikon Coolpix 3.1. That was a great camera but after breaking the battery door (twice!) we felt we should get a new camera. The first choice I made was a Kodak that was supposed to practically eliminate redeye. T...hat camera took horrible pictures indoors and the redeye was outrageous. I returned it and went back to a Nikon model. The camera is just the right size to carry in my pocket. The lithium batteries last a lot longer than even the NiMH batteries that I used before. I took well over the advertised 1000 pictures as well as video before the first set of Energizer e2s gave out. The video quality is superb and the picture quality is well beyond that of the Kodak. In fact, I rarely take out my JVC DV camera since buying the Nikon. (Unless the subject matter requires a more powerful zoom lens.) Plus, I can take the videos on the Nikon, edit them together and burn them right to a DVD in less than an hour. I highly recommend the Nikon L6 Read more Less

    For the money that you pay for this camera you get your value with it. I wanted a compact camera in the under $200 range that I could take on my business trips and I have had the L6 now for two months and I am very happy with the purchase. Picture qu...ality is what we are all looking for and this camera delivers. When I hear people say that this camera is very slow I think back to the fact that many moons ago we were using 126 and 110 cameras. This camera is slow when using the flash but when taking outdoor shots this camera shines. Read more Less

    Pros: Good pictures of landscapes.

    Cons: Bad pictures of groups of people.

    Shutter lag is real slow, I got more shots of the ground than of my intended shot.
    I had to returned this camera back to Best Buy even with the 15% restock fee.

    Way Too Slow

    Cons: Shutter is way too slow

    I curse this camera every time I use it. It is so horribly slow and it never takes the picture I intend. I am now shopping around for a new camera. I am so unimpressed with Nikon now.

    Pros: Beautiful Pictures, Small and Easy-to-use.

    Cons: Shutter Lag and flash

    Overall, this camera is wonderful. The only problem with it is the Shutter Lag and the flash. The flash is way to slow, so your just standing there the whole time, thinking, "When's this thing gonna go off?" But this camera ...has GREAT picture quality, for a PERFECT price. $200 isn't bad, even if you got it for Christmas. =) Read more Less

    Pros: very easy to use and lots of settings!

    Cons: Couldn't really find any that were a big deal

    They say big things come in small packages and that saying proves true in the little Nikon Coolpix L6. This is my third digital camera and I absolutely love it! Before the L6, I have owned the Sony Cybershot which they no longer make and the Canon Po...wershot A540 and I the Nikon is by far, way easier to use. I bought my L6 online and it came with the energizer e2 Lithium batteries which I recommend anyone to buy for any camera. I think it takes very crisp, clear shots and it's so easy to change from color shots to black and white, sepia, etc. There are lots of scenery settings such as beach, snow and fireworks just to name a few, that you can change to so easily. I just cannot say enough about this little camera and I would recommend this camera to practically anyone! Read more Less
