    good camera especially for teenage girls and CHEAP

    Pros: lots of settings for a nice picture. cheap

    Cons: slow to load

    This camera is pretty good for the price. I have a warranty so if it stops working, I can replace it. It has not broken yet either and I have had it since dec. 26. 2007. You can adjust the battery type but they must be alkaline. I bought a starter ki...t and It came with two batteries and a battery charger. I charge the batteries at night and they last me the entire day. When I read the stats it said top 2nd camera in 6 megapixels and 2nd camera for 150 dollars and under. I love my camera and it has good image quality along with many color options and settings. The only thing I dont like, is it takes a little longer time to load and this bugs me personally.     Pros: easy to carry, many usable functions, fair software

    Cons: poor image quality, screen almost impossible to see in sunlight, slow ISO

    This is a great camera for someone who has only used point-and-shoot type cameras. The image quality is somewhat poor for Nikon. If you are in sunlight, this camera takes good pictures. in low light situations. it takes "muddy" or "gra...iny" images. I have read reviews from other owners and there are a few problems with this model, like focus problems. Manufacturing seems inconsistant with this product. When shopping for a digital camera, look for a high ISO, not neccessarily a high pixel count! *High ISO will give better results in average to low light images. Read more Less

    Pros: Fairly easy to use

    Cons: some functions confusing for a beginner

    I wanted a low-cost easy-to-use digital camera. This one fits the bill nicely. The image quality is very good and once you learn how to maneuver through the menus and settings, it gets easier.     Pros: cheap, nice video and photo quality, small

    Cons: not enough features, high ISO = grainy

    it's a good starter camera and also its nice to carry it around, but i didn't like it because it didn't have enough features (but then again what can $120 buy you anyway??). i liked the image/video quality though, the photos (well most o...f them) were clear, the video quality is good, and also it doubles as a sound recorder. i also liked the BSS mode, which takes up to 10 photos, and selects the best one in terms of clarity, it's useful when your taking low light photos w/out the flash since without it you'd have blurry photos. A bad part was the fact that there wasn't enough features, no manual settings, 3x optical zoom apparently isn't enough, and also sometimes the camera uses ISO 800, where the photos come out grainy, but it's not that much of a problem compared to other cameras. In conclusion, the thing is not bad, but it's not perfect either. Read more Less

    Pros: nice picture quality

    Cons: stoped working for no reason

    My boyfriend bought me this camera and I loved it at first, then one day the batteries died when it was on, and I couldn't get the lense back in, so I went to put new batteries in, and it said lens error, and now my camera is broke everytime I tu...rn on the screen it says lens error, and now it doesn't work at all. Now I have to go out and buy a new one. Read more Less

    Pros: Good picture quality

    Cons: lens gets jammed

    I had this camera for 2 weeks and dropped it. Clumsey me. The lens got jammed and the camera wouldnt work. I still had the reciept so I exchanged it for the same camera. About 2 months later I was taking a picture and the camera ALMOST dropped on the... ground but I caught it in my hands and AGAIN the lens got jammed and stopped working. Maybe I'm especially clumsey, but I'm thinking this has to be a major flaw. It was also slow taking pictures. I'm used to pushing a button and having an immediate reaction. I missed out on some good pictures because the camera was busy focusing. Read more Less

    Pros: Easy to use and great photos

    Since I am an amature and a point and shoot guy, I am as happy as a lark with my Coolpix. I am well satisfied and would recommend it.

    Pros: easy to carry, can make soundless, good features

    Cons: poor image quality, can't handle having shadows in a photo

    After setting are changed, this can be an ok camera. The sound and the blur warning can be turned off. The best thing about this is that you don't have to fiddle with the features every time you turn it on, it saves them for you. It doesn't h...ave too many or too few buttons. It has a very good feature set-up. My problem with this camera is that it adjusts the picture as it is being taken so that there are no true shadows and it is just blurry and grainy. It is an excellent candid camera (in good light). I have taken many pictures with this camera in public or at parties without anyone noticing that I have a camera. Read more Less

    OK camera to carry around at all times

    Pros: Compact size. uses AA batteries and was rather inexpensive and the pictures are pretty sharp

    Cons: Not the fastest start up. No way of setting the ISO manually

    Has proven to be a pretty rugged and handy camera. I have dropped it a couple of times. The last time I dropped it, I thought it was broke, since when I turned it on it would then turn itself off. But that fixes it self, and it working great now.
