George Adams (on tenor with one appearance apiece on flute and soprano) is joined by pianist Hugh Lawson, bassist Sirone and drummer Victor Lewis for a set of ballads and spirituals. Adams puts plenty of feeling into the melodies, but some (particularly "Bridge Over Troubled Water," "What a Wonderful World" and "Moon River") really cannot be saved.
