Pros: it will keep you jumping if u never seen it
Cons: none
must see for haloween time
Great remake and a scary take on a horror classic!!!It is very violent trust me on that even more than the original the ending is strange but makes sense!!!All in all a worthy remake for an already worthy movie!!!
great classic movie to watch with friends or that someone special
this is the worst remake i've ever seen in my entire life i hate it with a passion
I liked this version much better than the 1968 version. At least, Barbara was a lot more braver in this one than the other one. The ending was much better than the other one.
i like the original night of the living dead better but the new one is real good too.i would have to rate this movie a 4 its definitely worth buying.
If you love zombie movies you must see this one this is the mother of all zombie movie(accualy the orignal night of the living dead is the mother) but this is a awesome remake. Also Dawn of the dead is a great movie but I didn't really like day of the dead.
While most remakes are boring re-tellings or overshooting disasters loosely based on the original source, this one stands as one of the few that is actually good. While some things are lost from the original (the claustrophobic atmosphere), it still tells the story well. Characters are more or less changed for the better, Barbara doesn't go crazy after seeing a Zombie for the first time and helps Ben. The original is not really scary, but realistic and disturbing which in my opinion is good but might turn off some horror buffs. This version will more than likely scare people. I highly reccomend seeing both movies though.
and Sonic, SPOILER ALERT, DO NOT READ UNLESS YOU WANT A SCENE SPOILED
True, Ben WASN'T bitten, but he was badly wounded from a fight so he died in the room he was hiding in. Anyone who dies from whatever reason except from brain damage will become a Zombie.
This remake was as chilling as the orginal 1968 version due to the fact that George Romero, who wrote the first movie with John Russo, also wrote the screenplay for this version. Secondly, Tom Savini, FX meister extraordinaire who starred in Dawn of the Dead as a biker directed this film.
Not as mysterious or claustrophobic as the 1968 version, which for me remains the creme de la creme but thrilling and provides and alternate storyline where someone survives the NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD.

The reason ben becomes a zombie when he retreats to the basement after being shot by Harry Cooper is because it is radiation from an exploded space probe that is causing the dead bodies to reanimate. If you listen closely to what the newscaster is saying on the radio when Ben is in the basement you will hear something along those lines. In other words, all you have to do is die, period, to become a zombie.
I loved "Night of the Living Dead." I thought it was an awesome movie. I've seen it at least fifty times!
When the zombies slam up against the windows suddenly, even though I know they're coming, I still jump!
ONE HUGE MISTAKE: Ben is NEVER bitten! ...How is he a zombie?! I've combed through that movie over and over again; and Ben is never bitten! He locks himself in the cellar and goes a little crazy, but he is bite-free. At the end of the movie when LIVE PEOPLE HAVE TO USE A CHAINSAW TO GET THE DOOR OPEN, he is a zombie. If live people can hardly get in then, no zombie could have gotten in throughout the night!
Next time you watch it, THINK ABOUT THAT!
NOTLD68 was good but I think NOTLD90 is without a doubt the scariest one of all the DEAD movie. it got the same storyline, But it has new twist and cool things at lease, I didn't have to hear Barbara complain about finding Johnny and I hope they make a Night of the Living Dead Part II.
this movie i like better than the old one but don't get me wrong i love the old one i just liked how copper died better and ben to and how the girl lived. bottom line the new and old night of the living deads are both great movies.other zombie movies night of the living dead [1968],day of the dead, dawn of the dead, dead alive, night of the creeps, return of the living dead 1,2 &3,zombie,the dead next door, dead men don't die, chud 1 &2,the gates of hell, and the beyond.
Make-up master Tom Savini (DAWN OF THE DEAD, FRIDAY THE 13TH) takes the job of directing this worthy remake of the 1968 original. The story is the same with a few surprises thrown in for fun. Pleas Romero, make a forth entry into your DEAD series!
Gives you a little more information on 'WHAT ON EARTHS GOING ON HERE', but still a distant second to the original. The color didn't help.
