Pros: B&W
Cons: Simple special effects
Who is worse? Dead or alive?
George A. Romero made us think about it with this black and white cult movie.
There is a point where you don't know who deserve to survive: zombies or alive people.
Everything starts with an space probe returning from its exploration of the planet Venus and exploding before entering the atmosphere. Then, the horror.
Dead people walking all around and looking for some brains.
This story becomes really scaring when, with their explanations, everything sounds possible. Not in a future, but right now.
Romero got the same effect in people with his movies Dawn of the Dead, Day of the Dead and Land of the Dead.
Pros: SCARY TO THE MAX, EDGE OF YOUR SEAT THE WHOLE TIME
Cons: NOT LONG ENOUGH, BARBARA JUST WOULD NOT SHUT UP! WANTED AN ALTERNATE ENDING
IT HAD ME FREAKED FOR DAYS, IT WAS A POSSIBLITY OF REALITY, YA NEVER KNOW!
Pros: Horror Classic
Cons: None
Another great classic horror movie, to heck with the sequals and remakes! This movie was definately aheaed of it's time and I still enjoy seeing it!
I was raised on this movie and any one who likes or loves zombies should get this its garanteed to give you a fright
The greatest horror film of the 1960s.
outstanding picture seeing as it was George A. Romeros first. It gets betetr everytime you see it, especially if you are alone adn in the dark. ...... "Barbara, they're coming for you..."
Night of the living dead, although more than 30
years old, still remains a cult classic horror flic
today.
The best film out of Romero's 'zombie'-movies this is
a stunning example of creating suspense without the
gory massacre scenes seen in more recent movies. The
BLACK&WHITE in which the movie was filmed really helps to set
the atmosphere and makes it a great movie for
watching in a darkened room when you're all alone.
This
picture is one of my favourite horror-movies and I'd
recommend this to anyone who's looking for a gloomy movie
but doesn't like today's horror-movies where the
suspense is traded in for gore and galore.A must-have!!!!
Not as good as I was hoping, but I was reaonably impressed with the results.
This movie changed the way horror flicks have been made since. Watch this one with the lights off and no one else around and see if you feel like a stroll around the farmhouse that night. Black and white never looked so good. Ripped off hundreds of times but none and I mean none come close.
