Next Friday isn't as in depth as Friday is, but it focuses in on the comedy even more. The things that happen in this movie are so absurd, that all you can do is laugh. So in other words, this movie is funnier, but not as theme and moral oriented as Friday. Buy this movie if you want a real good laugh.

If you went to see this movie at the theater, you have issues or you have lotta leftover money with y'all. Low-standard movie.

I was so amped to see Next Friday, because the first Friday was a classic(my favorite comedy movie of all time). I was so disappointed with what I saw. Chris Tucker stole the show in the first Friday, Mike Epps ain't nuthin compared to him. Next Friday tried to use the same type of humor and plot like the first one, but failed!!! I went 20 minutes without laughing. The funniest moments were with the Mexicans, but that's about it. It's not worth the $20 bucks, get the first Friday instead if you don't have it already.

I thought Friday was the funniest comedy I had ever seen. The humour was great. When I seen that they had made a sequel (next friday) I couldnt wait to see it. I had heard that it wasn't as good as the original, but I decided to see for myself. I thought it was better than the original, the only thing missing was Smokey (Chris Tucker). Next Friday is superb comedy y'all should buy it!!!

i loved Friday so when i heard a sequel was comming out I rushed to buy the DVD without even looking at it first. Not even close to the original humor that made the first movie soooo funny. The main charecter has gone from being a non-toker to a pot-head....why?? The jokes were re-hashes of the old formula (pot jokes and poop jokes witha few booty jokes in for flava) I felt myself reaching for the stop button more than a few times.
And why did they not use deebo more?? a great charecter in the first movie, it seems he was written in just to end the film. Best to wait for SaturdayWas this review helpful? Yes - NoOkay, no where near FRIDAY though...
I was really dissapointed when I seen this at the movies. I think I will rent it and give it another shot, but I have my doubts that will change my mind about it. It seems you really can't connect with the characters as much as you could in 'FRIDAY'. Some are just to overblown to believe. It just didn't really have as many funny things going on. The Vatos next door was a good element, but we don't really get to see any more funny 'daily" things that happen to real folks. That is what made 'FRIDAY' such a classic. The whole D-Bo getting out of jail thing was kinda pointless if you really think about it. He was only in the movie for like a lil over 5 minutes. Too many plot holes like this throughout the movie. Cube needs to let DJ POOH lend a helping hand in writing the script next time. They did a great job on "FRIDAY". Oh yeah, and if they do make another (as I hear they are), a small cameo by Chris Tucker, could only help bring the "FRIDAY" franchise back to where it was.
