    Celine Dion finally ends her two-year hiatus with an album that will sweep your heart away. "A New Day Has Come" reached Philippine shores yesterday and being one of the few lucky ones who availed a copy of the album, I can truly say that Ms. Dion h...as reached a new level of emotional and intellectual maturity in her songs. The album jumpstarts with the bouncy tunes "I'm Alive" and "Right In Front of You". A Celine Dion album will never be complete without a handful of ballads, among my favorites are "Have You Ever Been In Love", "Prayer", "At Last", "Goodbye's (The Saddest Word)" and the title track itself, the one produced by Walter Afanasieff. Never before did Celine tackle upbeat music in seriousness. Exemplifying this is "Sorry For Love", "Super Love" and "Rain, Tax (It's Inevitable)". "A New Day Has Come" ends with Dion's mystifying rendition of "Nature Boy", a song written in the late 1940s and was recently recorded by David Bowie for the "Moulin Rouge" soundtrack."A New Day Has Come" prominently displays all the facets of true musicianship and artistry. With the evolution Celine Dion has gone through, this album will be one of her ciritically-acclaimed works ever. I just hope she will earn Grammy nominations in 2003 for this one. Read more Less

    I think this is a great CD. It is amazing. There are both ballad and pop style songs. It is one of her best.

    Why not buy the video? she is a good product/singer from canada. you gotta see her to appreciate her. she is sort of annoying on "prayer", (especially if you're jewish) but "for the figs" is a hell of a rocker. Funny how she...'s grown lyrically. I cannot believe the rumour she wrote "bridge over troubled water" for Clay Aikin. Such talent. Read more Less

    Absoloutley love it. Unlike with her past albums where she has a tendancy to oversing to much. She manages to sing most of the time in a very subtle beautiful manner. Best songs are 'A new day has come', 'prayer', 'goodybye(the saddest word)', and... 'surrender'. Hopefeully her next album will be as breathy as this lil gem and by far her best album Read more Less

    A New Day Has Come is probably one of Celine's best albums yet. She has a very unique, diverse voice with an extremely wide range. Her newest single "A New Day Has Come" is one of my favorite ballads and if you really appreciate music, its probably o...ne of yours too. Its great to dedicate to a loved one (i.e. boyfriend, girlfriend, wife, husband, etc.). It makes a wonderful gift, and if youre a hopeless romantic like me, you will really enjoy it. Read more Less

    Hello! First of all I am really glad Celine is back, her voice is unique. I think this is a good album (I can't say its great tho) I really expected a little more (that's why I gave it 4 stars)... the voice is beautiful (as always) the melodies are v...ery nice, but the lyrics really disappointed me (I think Diane Warren is the best song writer so she should keep working with the best singer ever...Celine Dion!)
