Pros: great love story

Cons: bad outfits

I love this movie!! The only thing I didn't like was Drew's outfits when she was trying to fit in. I was so embarassed for her. I love the love story and how she found her power and worth in the end! Great movie!

For female audiences - funny and sweet

There were times the movie did lag a bit. However, I laughed out loud several times. Michael Vartan and Drew Barrymore kept your attention. Michael V. is sweet, sweet, sweet as Sam Coulson. If you want a nice quiet night in, you should rent this film;it's very entertaining and also particularly touching at times. A very detailed and enjoyable ending helped it become even better. However I didn't think any of the performances were that ...good(excluding Barrymore herself, who does a verygood job of passing for 17). Also, there was nothing to get really excited about;I doubt that this filmwill have a lasting impression on many people(most will see it as just another teen film). It isn't asclever as Cruel Intentions, as hip as 10 Things or half as funny as American Pie, but it has enoughto make watching it well worthwhile. Just don't expect the earth. Read more Less

i just love this movie!! drew plays the part of the 25 year old never been kissed copy editor perfectly that i cannot imagine any other actress playing it. the cast was well chosen and the script well written, making the movie a must see for people w...ho loves light hearted romantic comedies. the cool mr. sam coulson, portrayed by michael vartan will totally make your heart swoon everytime you see him on screen... therefore making him a really great love interest for josie geller. i recommend this movie to everyone who was 'josie grossie' in high school, and for everyoen who believes that true love is real... and that dreams really do come true... I thoroughly enjoyed Drew Barrymore in a movie that a family can watch. This is a quaint film that has not only some cute lines, but it rang a bell for me, a thirty something former highschool "wall flower". There isn't too much to dislike if youre l...ooking for a safe movie to watch with kids or a first date. There's a lot to see if you want an honest performance from a talented young actress/director. Can be boring at times but still a good

This is a big improvement over Drew's Home Fries which I thought was horrible and unfunny. This movie was pretty good though. I didn't laugh to much and the part when she's getting ready for prom and she was waiting outside for her date Billy and the...n he threw and eggs at her was just heart-breaking.It was so sad.Almost more sad than the Titanic.Didn't have comedy but it had romance and a lot of other things that people love but might not appreciate in this movie.
