    Misleading advertising

    Pros: Lightweight and no cord

    Cons: not enough power and poorly made. Way over priced.

    The effective cut width is about one half to one third of what is advertised to avoid skippers. The bolts and adjustments on the handle have to be frequently tightened, usually once or twice during each mowing. I've had to replace some of them se...veral times. My yard has only about 3700 sf of grass. Not enough power to stand up and cut even the finest grass blades. this includes the blades bent down by the wheels on the previous pass.You have to walk at a slow pace to let the mower do its work or else it will bog down.     Great for smaller lots

    Pros: EZ starting, light weight, no gas, no yanking cords, quiet, no smoke, govt subsidized price

    Cons: Narrower cut, charging time, MSRP

    I own a EM 5.1. This blade is narrower than typical gas mowers -- so it takes more passes. However, it is so much lighter and more pleasant to push around, that's not a problem. You only smell grass, no exhaust fumes. I might buy a second battery..., since my son uses this for his mowing service now. I like to mow earlier in the mornings when it's cooler out, since it is so quiet, it doesn't bother anyone! If the wife calls me in for a phone call or dinner, etc. I will hear her. Empty the bag or move a hose, and there is no having to restart it -- just move the handle (I have never had to 'retighten the handle' since I purchased it. If I did, I would put some blue Loctite on it and be done with it.) My back yard has about 1200 sf of grass and even though it is St. Augustine, this mower cuts it no problem. Not as much power as the 5.5 HP Ariens my son uses in front, but there is less noise, no smoke, and I never have to run for a gas can or change oil. I walk at a normal pace, and it does not bog unless the grass is really thick. Overall, very happy with this mower. Customer service is fantastic. I needed parts twice, and they immediately sent them for free, both times. Read more Less
