Based on Shonen Jump’s manga and the Cartoon Network’s animated series, Naruto: Ninja Council makes its GBA debut as an action platform game in the tradition of Ninja Gaiden. Players can take control of either Uzumaki Naruto or Uchiha Sasuke in seven levels of ninjafighting action. Each can jump, dash, perform a basic attack, and charge chakra to activate special moves, but the two characters have different strengths and weaknesses. Sasuke is faster than Naruto, for example, but his magic is not as strong. As players advance past an assortment of enemies and hazards, they will eventually confront a boss character at the culmination of each level. Fans of the series will recognize such familiar villains as Rock Lee and Shikamaru, who will all use a variety of signature moves to thwart each character’s progress. ~ Scott Alan Marriott, All Game Guide

Pros: has two versions of story mode, can switch the levels after beating both versions

Cons: only 3 characters, voices are from the dub version

Very good side scroller in the form of Naruto. You control either Naruto or Sasuke, and also Kakashi after beating the game with both Naruto and Sasuke, but those are the only characters you can choose from, unfortunately. Also the voices are of the ...dub version, and not the Japanese one. But, despite that, its a pretty good game. It will get very challenging after clearing ithe game for the first time. For the bosses at the end of the level will end up being harder than the easy mode (I'm currently stuck on Neji, he's hard!), and also instead of Orochimaru, you will fight Gaara instead. I recommend this to Naruto fans, and also try Ninja Council 2, it's a little better than this one, and has imporved graphics, or try importing Saikyo Ninja Daikesshu 4, and skipping 3. SND4 is basically a fighting game version of Ninja Council, with alot of characters to choose from. Still, if you can ignore the dub voices and character limitations, Ninja Council (this version) could still be a pretty good game. Read more Less
