Of Russian-Rumanian descent, Nadia Gray left Bucharest in the late '40s when the Communists took over. Arriving in Paris with her aviator husband, who claimed to be (and probably was) a European prince, she made her first screen appearance in L'Inconnue D'un Soir (1948).
