Foremost, the game's new "Shot Stick" mechanic lets players to steer their shots with the right analog stick, allowing them to throw off defenders with timing and finesse.

"Dual Player Control" promotes teamwork on the floor, as the Dpad can be used to set up quick outlet passes, giveandgos, and even alleyoops. The "Strip and Rip" system is designed to allow skilled defenders a better chance at picking off a pass, if they can anticipate its direction.

Along with all of the reallife stars of the NBA, gamers can create their own pro baler character, and see to his training and development through the game's new "24/7" feature. Gamers can follow their custom players on and off the court, to manage all sorts of individual activities, from personal training to bigmoney endorsement deals.

Once again, 2K Sports' "V.I.P." system allows for competition against A.I. profiles modeled after the playing styles reallife gamers. The game's "Association" franchise mode puts players at the top of their favorite organization, with the power to hire coaches and scouts, follow prospective draft picks, and receive feedback from players, coaches, and fans.

    Pros: Gameplay really has not changed much from last season, except for the incorporating of the Shot stick, Custom Soundtracking is always a plus, and the Online mode is better than last year

    Cons: Shot Stick has to take a lil' time to get used to, and it would be nice to have all the shoes available to accesorize the players with

    What can be said about this year's NBA 2K6??, Well, for starters, The Video Gaming God's finally made a good game with Shaq on the cover, whereas everytime the BIG OOF is on the cover of a Basketball game, it truly sucks, well, the game prett...y much plays like last years, which truly means in general, NBA Live is arcadey once again ((LOL!!)) And the only thing that truly stands out is the fact that the XBOX version looks like the same thing on the 360, graphics wise, except that the fans move more fluidly with more better effects and the players truly do work up a sweat on the game for real, and my only gripe is that they could at least let you accesorize the players correctly, when getting their gear in order and when trades are made, you can at least be able to change their jersey # as well as change the color of their shoe, nothing is more hideous than seeing Mark Blount be traded from Boston to Minnesota and he is stuck wearing green Nikes instaed of changing to blue. Other than that, good game, just needs a lil' more improving, as well as NBA Live does, but NBA 2K6 gets the nod on this one Read more Less
