This is the second album by Ná Ozzetti, a singer who began her career in 1978 singing with the group Rumo. Adherent of the Vanguarda Paulistana (the pop movement of the city of São Paulo that mixes experimentations with electroacoustic music, angular melodies, Webern harmonies, spoken speech, and other inventions in their music), an obviously noncommercial style, this time she preferred to record an almost mainstream album where contemporary pop grooves coexist with good instrumental backing, trombone solos, and her crystalclear voice, representing a far better release than the average in this segment. Most of the compositions are by Vanguarda Paulistana members (Luiz Tatit, her brother Dante, Itamar Assumpção, Ozzetti), with a rendition of "Morro Dois Irmãos" (wonderful melody by Chico Buarque, which adapts itself beautifully to Ozzetti's modern approach to singing) and for "Carmen" (Georges Bizet), interpreted as a haunting samba with the distinctive soprano sax of Hermeto Pascoal's.... Beautiful collection of modern pop renditions with an unusually adventurous approach in this style. - Alvaro Neder, All Music Guide Read more Less
