Pros: We are putting jobs back where they belong?
Cons: You are supporting another country.
I know the toy looks cute and all, but is it made in the USA?..Please check the label, I urge you not to buy this toy if it is made in another country, we are out of jobs here in the USA.Your daughter will understand when she get's older..in fact tell her 'No honey it is not made in the USA".Pass the word around to buy USA toys.Thank-you.
Pros: very low price, kids love it
Cons: doesn't make sounds
I bought one butterscotch pony to my little friend .she was very happy to saw this pony.
Pros: Loads of fun and almost real
Cons: Doesn't walk!
We went out shopping for my boys who are 3 yrs old and 16 months old, and we ended up spending almost 40 minutes by the Butterscotch display they have at our local Toys R Us. I called my husband to tell him how wonderful they thought this horse was. He was so suprised that our short attention span kids have progressively spent more time with this horse. He took them to target to see it like 10 times in the last 3 weeks. Each time they throw a fit when they have to leave a cry while saying Good Bye Horsie! It is SO sad. I love my boys, and I love horses too. We have decided to get this horse for them to share for Christmas. We started looking online to see what accessories they have for it. On Ebay we found a real bare back saddle and real briddle that they made for the FurReal Pony size. It is just the same price as the lame stuff they have marketed for this horse. So we are getting that, and the horse and now we just need to find a second carrot and brush so the little one can play too. I think it is so Awesome! And I am 27 years old. I like to play with it too. Much easier to clean up after too.
Pros: kids loved it when it worked
Cons: broke the first month/terrible customer service
Santa brought Butterscotch in 2006. A month later, it started to make grinding noises without moving even with new batteries. Consumer help line told us to send the head back and they would send a new pony, but at the time they didn't have any in stock. We waited until the summer, confirmed they were in stock and mailed the head. They paid postage and we paid insurance. At the time, they had the Easy Bake recall and so they didn't get to our return until October of 2007. Then we were told they were out of stock again. It is now December and now we are told that if they don't get more in January, which is doubtful, they will return my money. I told them that they should have put a loyal customer like myself before the profit of sending their limited inventory to the Targets and Wal-marts of the world. Every store had two or more in our area, but they can't seem to find me a replacement. Hasbro sent two 10 dollar coupons, but that doesn't even cover my tax or the insurance on the shipping, neither of which they will refund. So now I have two choices. I can tell my children that the borken toy Santa brought last year will not be replaced or I can go out, spend more moeny on another pony that will probably break just as fast and then start the entire process all over. Thanks Hasbro for ruining Christmas in 2006 and 2007.
Pros: Very realistic, kids are amazed
Cons: Has a very large footprint
We spotted this toy for the first time in Target. My daughter, who is 3, thought it was absolutely amazing. They had a display set up and ready to interact with children...with a comb and a carrot. My daughter used the comb to brush the pony's hair, which she thought was great because like a real pony it moved in ways that she wasn't expecting as if to nuzzle and appreciate what she was doing. She also played with the carrot to mock feed the pony. We must have stopped at the display for 10 minutes or so. My concern with this toy is that it is a very large ticket item in both price and space it takes to own. It would be a shame for spend $250 + only to get home and find you have no good place to keep it. It would be even more shameful to pay that price and discover that the kids are only going to be interested in it for a short period. I personally belive the novelty of it will wear off. And when it does...that's an expensive yard sale item. The toy was wonderful and I was very impressed with its marketing, but I can't bring myself to give up that much money on a novelty.
Pros: AWESOME
Cons: NOT real
my sister who is 18 just loves this fake horse. SHe sits on it all the time and plays with it none stop. Since her real horse died I figured I would buy her this one. Which is was very greatful anf injoys playing with it. If anyone in ur family is wanting a horse get them this instead it's more fun safer and easier to take care of!!!!
