Okay...
Pros: Really good lyrics and nice voice
Cons: Boring at times
I don't know but something about this album didn't really click with me. I only like a few songs on it. Never Again, Sober, Haunted, Maybe, How I Feel, Irvine, and the hidden track Chivas. The rest I usually just skip past when I'm playing the CD. None of the songs are bad, but none of them are amazing! Overall a pretty good album though.

When I first heard the new single "Never Again", I was not thrilled to hear this previous idol winner screaming and being drowned out by a heavier hard rocking sound. All she is just basically doing is screaming her head off on this very bad follow up to 2005's "Breakaway".
A lot of the songs on this album are just awful and she doesn't really seem to have that wow factor on this follow up.
I was a real big fan of this one time pop princess when she first hit it big with "Miss Independent", "A Moment Like This" and "Breakaway" until this new album full of alt-rock garbage came out.
I seriously wish she could go back to being the old Kelly instead of that Lindsey Lohan wannabe image she's going for.
I would not waste my time buying this album and would rather listen to Carrie Underwood's "Carnival Ride" CD instead.Was this review helpful? Yes - NoMy December - Kelly Clarkson

Cons: A few weird slow songs
I've been a fan of Kelly Clarkson since she won American Idol. I think this is her best album yet. I love that she wasn't afraid to try something new and these songs are different from the usual poppy stuff you hear on the radio. I'm sick of everyone doing the same thing, and I think this was a nice change. She shows off her awesome range and gives you something with some good rock edge.

Kelly Clarkson's "My December" came six months too early-in June. This American Idol champ's latest offering unveils a new layer of hard rocker in her. It is evident that this CD contains strong influences of Evanescence and even some Sarah McLachlan. Though "This December" may not even see the light of a brisk sales of the Yuletide season this year, let's give Clarkson a chance, shall we?
"My December" boasts of Clarkson's songwriting efforts, something not evident in her previous two albums, "Thankful" and "Breakaway". Though it seems like little Miss Independent is really living up to title of her first Top 10 single, she has followed this up with the debut single called "Never Again", a rock ballad of a frustrated lover desperately and angrily trying to move on with her life. The follow-up single, "Sober", could be touted as her shining moment in this latest offering of hers. This haunting ballad's guitars and orchestrations give this album the glow it needs badly. "Can I Have A Kiss?" and "Don't Waste Your Time" perhaps could do the trick of saving this album from poor sales. Clarkson concludes this set with the bonus track called "Irvine/
Chivas".
The title "My December" could signal a flagging of popularity--the end of the road. Kelly Clarkson could approach that sooner than we think. But only time can tell, she still has the rest of the year to justify this seemingly prophetic title.Was this review helpful? Yes - NoClarkson Rocks
