  • Overall:

    Great Ska Album

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Jun 5, 2000

Lets Go Bowling is one of the best ska bands out there and this is one of the big reasons why. This album has tight grooves and excellent lyrics, if you like ska, bowling, or both you need to get this album. By the way they are excellent live.

Pro Reviews: Music to Bowl By

  • All Music Guide

Despite being one the founders of West Coast ska revival, Let's Go Bowling's debut album Music to Bowl By is a bit of a disappointment. Its low production quality didn't quite capture the energy of their upbeat live shows. Making up for this lack of decent sound is the solid songwriting. The tracks blend traditional ska with '50s rock and swing. Many of these songs, including "Rude 69," "Pin Stripe Suit," and "Esta Noche," have become concert favorites.
