    This Bill Monroe box-set is the most treasured CD in my collection. Bill Monroe is what it's all about and this collection has most of the best stuff by the father of bluegrass music.

Bill Monroe is the father of bluegrass. He invented the style, invented the name, and for the great majority of the 20th century, embodied the art form.
