    Much Ado About Denzel

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Apr 13, 2004

    Pros: Denzel Washington

    Cons: understanding the language

Not very familiar with Shakespeare productions (and the use of the King's english), I found it difficult at times to understand what was being said. However, Denzel's presence (especially in the leather) made my struggle worthwhile. He is a...wesome in any role he plays. Read more Less

    WONDERFUL picture

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Mar 4, 2002

that just keeps getting better with age. It's a "feel-good" movie in the highest sense of that term, and one of the very best Shakespeare adaptations on film.

Witty, sexy playful romp with Shakespear

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Aug 12, 2000

I begin watching this film with a bit of timidness being Shakespeare of which I have poor understanding. But within minutes found myself laughing at the lightheartedness of the characters and the beautiful filming and music.Kenneth Branagh taking on... muliple roles in this film as actor, director, screenwriter, and producer has beautifully produce a film for all. It's witty, heart touching, sexy, and just down to earth fun to watch. There is great interaction between all the actors who looked to be throughly enjoying themselves throughout the film which projects to the viewer. I especially enjoyed the fact of Branagh letting all be themselves. American actors sounding American, British sounding British. Shakespeare is for all the languages. If you just want to laugh and see the forever bachelor and maid be gotten. Then this be the film you. Read more Less

    See this movie!!!

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Aug 8, 2000

Branagh does a superb job in directing Shakespeare's comedy/romance of the sixteenth century. The on screen relationship between Benidick and Beatrice quite possibly reflects the off screen relationship of Branagh and Thompson. All cast members did ...fine portayals of their characters in this extremely witty version of the loveable classic. I thoroughly enjoyed watching this as much as the book. See it, you don't know what you're missing otherwise! Read more Less

    Visually Stunning

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Mar 30, 2000

Despite the fact that the film could never live up to seeing the play on stage- That were impossible! It's wonderful cast and stunning scenery, combined with Kenneth Brannagh's pure genius, makes it one the best films you'll ever see. If this doesn'...t get you into Shakespere's plays, nothing will!I can't wait to see Brannagh's latest film "Loves labours lost." Read more Less
