Cincinnati DJ Mr. Dibbs is part of 1200 Hobos, a turntablist crew known for their mix tapes, considered more compositional and less-overtly dexterous than those of other DJs. Influenced by the first wave of rap and hip-hop culture, Dibbs' decision to become a DJ was cemented by seeing Grandmixer D.ST perform "Rockit" with Herbie Hancock.
