Though DJ Spider and MC Champ first met when they were classmates at California's Sonoma State University, their hiphop group Move.meant didn't really start to take shape until Champ moved to L.A. and was introduced, through Spider, to producer Just Beats. The trio immediately began to make music together, and in 2002, their first single, the vinylonly "The Rebirth" (b/w "Heather") came out.
