as a fan of AAR, the first time i heard this song, it really impressed me, very much!! this song is for anyone who finds themselves being lost, hopeless and depressed. just catch any word of the song, i think you'll find some changes in your feel...ings. at the end of the song, there's a part when the music is slow down, i really love it. its just like a minute to think, to make up your mind and then you'll rock out with all your energy. Tyson shows us his great ability in writing. besides "Dirty little secrets", these two songs are really cool in their latest album. well, remember whatever happens, just move along ^^ Read more Less

    The All-American Rejects

"Move Along" is a very mature release from The All-American Rejects. The songs are catchy. Singer/Bassist Tyson Ritter deffenately knows how to write a good song. Songs like "Dirty Little Secret", "Stab My Back", and &q...uot;Move Along" kick the record off with a bang. These songs get easially stuck in my head. There's also slow songs like "Straightjacket Feeling" and "Can't Take It". These songs are amazing and really show off Ritter's vocal ability. Not only that, but it also shows off his song writing abilities. The other band members(Nick Wheeler, Chris Gaylor, and Mike Kennerty) have also grown as musician because the background music is amazing. My best friend bought me this cd for my birthday and I haven't been able to take it out of the player since. If you like bands like Fall Out Boy, The Ataris, Relient K, and so on, then you will like the All-American Rejects. It's enjoyable to people of all ages(my 6 year old sister loves it and even my mom can't help but like "Move Along" and "Dirty Little Secret"). Read more Less

Move Along, the album, The All-American Rejects:

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Nov 4, 2006

Pros: The title track, Move Along, is the best A-AR has ever done. The vocals & the beat create a unique sound, distinquisible from their other A-AR songs. And the video, with its morphing, is not only original but fun to watch. The flashes on the video keep pace with the various rhythm segments of the music. Tyson Ritter is at his best. The drummer, Chris Gaylor, also gets special mention for the new, hard-driving bounding that defines the whole track. Now, I finally understand the relationship between the words rhyme and rhythm. On this cut, there is rhythm, rhyme & reason. The reason is to create a song that yielded MTV Video of the year for a Group performance.

Cons: It was three years in the making. That was a long time to wait, knowing the success & talent in their first, eponymous album. Dirty Little Secret somethimes seem silly & sometimes I like it.

The album Move Along is now nearly a year old. But since it took three years to produce, I feel OK reviewing it at this late date. Hey, I still have A-AR's first CD in my car's CD player and that album was released in 2002. This group's s...ongs have staying power, to me at least. The title track, Move Along, is the best A-AR has ever done. The vocals & the beat create a unique sound, distinquisible from their other songs. And the video for Move Along, with its morphing, is not only original but extreme fun to watch, even as I evaluated the inter-racial meanings of the morphing of a people from a wide diversity of world cultures. Bravo for that. The flashes on the video keep pace with the various beats routines of the music. Tyson Ritter, on vocals & bass guitar, is at his best. Less falseto on the cut Move Along than say on It Ends Tonight (my second favorite on the album). The falseto is his signature. But his vocals work with or without it. The drummer, Chris Gaylow, also gets special mention for the new rhythm, like on the cut Move Along. Now, I finally understand the relationship between the words rhyme and rhythm. On this cut, there is rhythm, rhyme and, of all things, reason. The reason is to create a song that yielded MTV's Video of the year for a Group performance. Now It Ends Tonight is up for a TRL award. I can't finish without giving credit to Nick Wheeler, a close friend of Ritter since high school. Nick's guitars and production showed talent from the first album on. Mike Kennerty fills out the great full guitar sound. And the production team is fantastico. How long will it be before big-lable album number 3? If A-AR needs the time to produce the quality of the first two, I'm willing to wait. That's right, I haven't even taken the first CD from my car's CD player. Many hours of good listening are to come. I must say, The All American Rejects is one of the better groups today. I love their lyrics, the beat fits along with them. And the new CD, "Move Along", kind of surprised me. Most groups today, don't stand up to the albums before. But ...AAR stood up and held their heads up high, and said, gotta keep up. Which they did, and I loved it. Read more Less
