    key pads stick motorola no help

    Pros: not out weighed by bad customer service

    Cons: cameral ens is easily scratched due to location

    three weeks old and keypad begins sticking on certain #'s. erratically,not consistent this results in double entries of the #'s when keying in at a normal rate. T-mobile bounced me to motorola. The tech there wanted to do a "master reset..." which would mean loosing ALL the phone book entries and everything else that was programed. Logic would be that an electronic reset is not going to fix a mechanical problem tech could not figure this out however. refused to do an exchange and insisted I mail it in "to be looked at" and repaired. How dumb are these people to expect ANYONE to believe they are going to repair a phone that costs maybe 5 bucks to manufacture? Read more Less

    Pros: nice design, interface, good camera

    Cons: slow and freezes occasionally, sticky keypad

    I bought the phone because of its colorful, sleek design. When I played around with it at the store, the camera quality was great and menu interfaces were nice looking. USING this phone on a daily basis is another thing. For the two weeks that I had... it, I hated using it. The keypad is hard to push (compared to other phones) and the phone was slow as well (like an old computer), making it hard to send text messages, scroll fast, or play games. If you read other reviews, you will see that this is a common problem with the w490. When i tried to do things too quickly, it would freeze on me...and you wonder why I said its like an old computer? Another problem I had was when calling voicemail or any company with a push-entry option. For example, when I pressed 7 to delete a voicemail, the system coulnt detect it. Read more Less
