    My Moto v600

By Janice  Mar 16, 2004 | 35 out of 42 found this Motorola V600 review helpful

    Pros: LCD,Camera,size of numbers,volume,changerabl
e covers Chrome, i could go on

Cons: Confusing ring light system :-(

I got the phone for 299 pounds sim free (unlocked to all networks) which for a phone with this many things on it is very good i had the nokia 6600 for 369 pounds and to be honest the v600 is a beta phone. Right down to the phone. When u first hold ...this phone u flick back over the pictures u had seen this fone is big compared to the small pix on the net, big screen, big numbers so all those who think they will press other numbers need not worry. Even when they say 65000 colour u think bright but not all phones with this colour hav a crisp clearness to it so the moto got it right. I then checked out the rings tones being disappointed with the nokia 6600 i had to know i could hear the phone ring and well u can really really hear it ring and yep mp3 ring tones do work. As far as functions v600 is a phone not a pda phone it does what it says makes calls really well in fact u hear the person so well u think they are right next to you, the lay out of the phone is good my past moto v66 lacked that but this is easy to get around and easy to get to know. after a fews days u wont need to manule, u will find yourself jus wanting to look at the phone and yes people will stop and stare. The camera is the best quality i have seen so far it does not profess to be a digital camera and we all really dont need to hav one on a phone but it takes good pictures and u can hav some fun. You are able to use mms very easily putting sound text together though setting it up takes long as the provided can not send the setting in text form u have to manually set it as they talk you through, this is the hardest work u will do on this phone. You can play mp3s once u buy the right kit as well as radio u need to buy the accessories. The ring lights had a lil problem with these as the manuel states u can change them depending on the task u want them to do say txting voice mail incoming calls etc but u can only set the incoming calls the rest are preset it does not state this. Some phones lack when u hold them they feel empty but the v600 does not the more u play the more things u will find out. This is by far the best moto phone and can take on other flip camera phones in the end winning the battle. It is a good quality phone, solid does not feel like it will break in ur hands. You can download wallpaper and screensavers from the moto site hellomoto.com or others that u like. I know if u get the v600 u will have lots fun. Ps the people who reviewed this fone way b4 it was on the market only got reviews through searching pictures and other fake reviews not actually using this fone. I myself had to search a long time to get a proper review with actual pictres of proof. I actually have the v600, this is real a joy to use. Overall this phone is fantastic and is worth the wait and fuss :-) Read more Less

    Pros: Bluetooth/
    Speakerphone/
    QuadBand

    Cons: Menus

Best Phone Motorola has put out yet. Bluetooth is amazing as I use it with my palm. Quad Band is amazing as it ensures complete coverage everywhere for those who travel.Battery life is decent. Speaker phone is very sensitive and I don't need to s...cream to be heard. Also a plus when driving or multitasking since i don't bother with ear pieces.Menus however get a bit too convulated.Overall, the best phone I've had yet. Read more Less

    Picture-Perfect Phones

Some of the latest devices tout higher resolution, digital zoom, photo effects, and exposure adjustments. Our top choice is Motorola's V600 for its useful photographic features. Consider Nokia's 3660 if you want to record short video clips.Mobile phones with integrated digital cameras are improving. On top of their now-common organizer features and e-mailing abilities, many of the new models have higher image resolution and such camera features as exposure adjustment, digital zoom, self-timers, and even the ability to apply effects like black-and-white, negative, and sepia. A 65,000 color screen, polyphonic ring tones, and Bluetooth are among the many strengths. But perhaps the most appealing quality of the V600 is the quad-band GSM. Read more
