    SLVR 7

    Pros: wafer thin

    Cons: wafer thin

Best suited for youth and small people who have little fingers and sharp eyes. With my advanceing age, the screen is small, print hard to read, and my fingers are too big... otherwise, love it!

    Nice iPod

By Mark  Mar 14, 2006 | 23 out of 28 found this Motorola SLVR L7 review helpful

    Pros: Good size phone, handy

Cons: Need to turn volume to 7 to hear, signal poor

SLVR is a phone attached to an iPod. The phone features are almost the same as the basic Motorola phones. Same ring tones, blah wallpaper, skins, and screensavers. The speaker volume is extremely poor, except when in a quiet room. The external speake...r is great. Need to switch locations. Signal quality was poor, although it may have been the location(s). The quality of the phone is superb, as is the layout and the new look keypad. The color quality is great. Overall, the RAZR is a much better phone. Read more Less

    Great phone

    Pros: Features

Cons: Battery life could be a little better

Every review that I read about this phone prior to buying it was totally useless. The only thing anybody wanted to complain about was the IPod part of it, and how you can only load 100 songs, and how long it takes to load the songs. It isn't desi...gned to be an IPod that you can talk on...it's designed to be a cell phone that you can listen to music on. And, with that being the case, it is fine. If you want 5000 songs that load quickly, go buy a real IPod. If you want a feature-loaded phone that lets you listen to music, take pics, watch video, etc then this is an excellent place to start. Loving My SLVR!

By Manuela Cruz Hauser  Mar 14, 2006 | 16 out of 19 found this Motorola SLVR L7 review helpful

    Pros: The i-Tunes Music

    Cons: The speaker quality

I purchased the SLVR over a month ago and I must admit that the high-end cell phone is a brilliant buy. You get all the advanced features in this extremely thin phone! The voice quality and reception is amazing. The menu is easy enough to navigate an...d I love that it isn't a clam style handset. I have two complaints about the phone but they are insignificant to my standards, the face gets soiled easily and the loudspeaker sound is fair to good at best. My husband works for Cingular CS and he says that the SLVR has the least technical issues of all their phones so he highly recommended it for me since I will spend my money on the best quality. The i-Tunes is my favourite feature. I love my SLVR!!! Read more Less

Nokia still way ahead of the game

By Alex  Apr 25, 2006 | 20 out of 32 found this Motorola SLVR L7 review helpful

Pros: iPOD was the only awesome feature, 512MB included

Cons: can not do much from SIM card

Cons: You can not do much from the SIM card, you must copy all SIM info over to the phones memory to use features such as: 1)voice activation 2)picture ID 3)caller group / ringer ID 4)etc. While creating text SMS message, the TAP mode sucks, Nokia...9;s text message system saves much more time and easier to use. Signal sucks, honestly! You must make short cuts to use:calculator, alarm clock, calendar, etc, otherwise it's a lot of clicks you gotta go through to get there. Speakerphone is weak. Pros: iPOD is the only true selling leverage for this phone otherwise I wouldn't use it period. Phone comes with 512MB micro SD card. Easy to xfer music files, and pictures to the PC with a USB cord (included). I've used Nokias before and never had to pick up the user manual, just picked up the phone and was very easy to learn. They kept it simple and only need to hit a couple keys to navigate anywhere. This is my 3rd Motorola but I still need to pick up the user manual every time to navigate through the features. I hate having to make up shortcuts for my preferences. Bottom line, I hate this phone but enjoy the iPOD. Once Nokia comes out with a built in iPOD or other music capable phone, I'm there! The Ultra-Sleek Slvr

By loretta  Apr 25, 2006 | 6 out of 6 found this Motorola SLVR L7 review helpful

Pros: Attractive, and made awesome by the IPod feature

Cons: When you can actually hear it.

Fun, slim, a status symbol, and not the cliche flip-phone style that I'm personally sick of. It comes with some super cool features and capabilities. Overall, this is a great phone to have! At least, when you can hear it ring. The speakers on it ...are very quiet. Even when its turned up to 7 I struggle. And service can get to be an issue. I've compared, and the Razr does get better service. But other than that, its an awesome phone! I enjoy it a lot, and would recommend it to anyone who isn't too hard of hearing. Read more Less

    Digital Audio Player Mistery

By Jorge  Aug 19, 2006 | 8 out of 11 found this Motorola SLVR L7 review helpful

    Pros: Great Phone!

    Cons: No voice records? why???

Are we talking about the same phone? There's nothing wrong with the player, it works great, you can select what you want to listen to by Artist, Albun, Song, Genre or create your own playlists, but... why does everybody talk about "iTunes&qu...ot;? I'm a Mac user but there's nothing in this phone resembling iTunes or an iPod, as it is in the ROKR. If I select the "about" option within the MP3 player, it reads: Digital Audio Player v 05.00.15. Copyright Motorola 2005... oops! what's wrong with this apple? Anyway, as I said the player's a very nice feature in the L7, and does what it has to do with an easy going and friendly interface. To add songs to the L7 I just connect it to my desktop or PowerBook, and it appears on the desktop as a 512MB removable device. Then I simply drag the MP3 files and drop them in the "Audio" folder of the L7's memory card. The only missing piece, at least for me, is a voice recorder. This is the kind of things I don't get about software/system designers. If I have tons of extra memory than what I have in my V300... why taking this handy feature away? Otherwise, a great and very nice multi-tasking phone with the usual Motorola features. If you owned a Motorola before you'll have no trouble at all in getting around and familiar with the L7. Pros: thin and is an ipod phone

    Cons: thin

When i first saw this phone i was amazed by how awesome it was! I love the ipod part and i could get that headphone plug so i could listen to my music privately. Then one day i was picking up my phone off the table and it fell out of my hands and tha...ts when i found the problem. The screen cracked so i ended up going back to the store and i bought a ROKR which is way better because its more durable then the SLVR. Read more Less
