    I OWN THE PHONE

By Blackessence_007  Nov 6, 2005 | 22 out of 24 found this Motorola ROKR review helpful

Pros: Music, Video, Camera, Not a flip phone, Awesome sound

Cons: Have to wait until the beginning of '06 to get insurance on the phone.

The phone is nice. I take it everywhere I go. I play the iTunes constantly. Only thing I have a problem with is Cingular's network going haywire. When it does, the phone will ring and no one is calling. Major let down, but other than that......AW...ESOME PHONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cons: can't use music as ring tone, only 100 songs allowed...

I hate the fact that I can't use my songs as ringtones, and also there is a glitch on the phone because my first one kept ringing and wouldn't stop so I took it back and got a new one but this one is doing it too!

    Review: Motorola ROKR

As should be apparent, Im not wowed by the ROKR. Its not a terrible phone or music player, but its not the kind of impressive first effort you expect from a product associated with Apple. With its slow syncing and response, artificial 100 track limit, audio glitches (reversed stereo channels), and occasionally ungainly interface, many who are accustomed to an iPods elegance will be disappointed with this phone. Motorola iTunes ROKR E1

The LCD screen has been improved to a 262k version. The camera is still pretty poor at 30K pixel. However, this has been compensated with the addition of the video recording function. It has similar amount of built in memory, which is 5MB, in contrast to the previous E398. The phone supports TransFlash memory card and includes a 128MB TransFlash memory card. Read more
