    Lovi'n It...

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Jul 10, 2006 | 13 out of 17 found this Motorola RAZR V3i review helpful

Pros: Slick and Stunning Design and Features

    Cons: Poor Battery Life

RAZR V3i Features Improving on the original RAZR, the V3i adds a 1.23 Megapixel camera over the 0.3 Megapixel variety of its predecessor as well as a microSD expansion slot for added storage. The latter also contributes to the newfound iTunes compati...bility of the handset, a feature which was first introduced in the ROKR E1 launched this last September. With these exceptions, the feature set of the V3i remains identical to the original RAZR including its quad-band GSM and Bluetooth support, 2.2-inch colour display, chemically etched keypad and trademark slim form factor. - Exclusive steel grey anodized aluminum shell with a distinctive ultra-thin profile - Innovative nickel-plated copper-alloy chemically-etched keypad with illumination panel - iTunes music software or Motorola’s Digital Audio Music Player with mini-USB stereo headset - Large internal and external color displays - Integrated 1.23-megapixel camera with 8X Zoom and photo album application - Bluetooth Class 1 wireless technology for hands-free connectivity - Speaker-independent voice recognition with full-duplex speakerphone - Messaging via Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS), IM Wireless Village and email (POP3, IMAP4, SMTP) - 3D graphics engine for gaming - J2ME support for application, ringer, wallpaper, graphic and game downloads Read more Less

    Horrible software!

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Aug 12, 2006 | 9 out of 11 found this Motorola RAZR V3i review helpful

    Pros: Style, quality, features.

    Cons: Software, software,software!!!

I have purchased a gold Dolce & Gabbana about a months ago. The phone's style is superb! Beautiful design, good quality, useful features. But... If you are not used to Motorola phones, you better buy some seductive pills before you start using it.... Motorola's menu is just plane horrible. I used to have a MicroTec about 10 years ago, but I can't remember if that was as bad as it is. In the past few years, I was using Samsung phones and not once I had to open the owners manuals. They are so user friendly, that you can use them without instructions. After about a months I got used to most of the features, but there is one thing that is plain crap on this phone: the voice command menu. If you want to use this feature, you have to chat with your phone for a while. You can't just say "Call ...". First you have to tell the phone if you want to use "Name dial","number dial" or open up some other programs like "camera". I do not understand, what is the purpose to have voice commands to open up an application like "Camera" and after that, you can not have any voice commands within the application like "capture"? If you use Bluetooth ( I use Plantronics 645 ), most of the time the phone does not understand the command or the name, and you have to repeat it. If the second times the command is not recognized, you are out of luck. Have to start all over. Horrible!!!!!!! If you have a foreign name in your contacts and the software can not decide which entry you want, it will ask you if this is the person you are trying to call or you have to choose from a bunch of names. Whomever invented this version of the Voice Recognition, should work at McDonalds instead. I actually called Motorola and they said the software could be changed, if they flash it again but their nearest authorized service is about 100 miles away. After all I love the phone, except this voice command feature. I hope that Motorola will drop this version of voice commands on future phones. Brian T. Read more Less

    Great Phone!

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Dec 3, 2006 | 4 out of 5 found this Motorola RAZR V3i review helpful

Pros: TranshFlash Memory Card, Itunes, Synchronize with Outlook, VideoCamera.

    Cons: Can't find a Con yet :)

I picked up this phone because it let me have a great phone, get sync with my Outlook and have an Ipod (a 500MB transhflash memory card is included so you can add about 100 songs!) all in one.

    I love it!

great phone, might need some hacking

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Jul 25, 2006 | 3 out of 5 found this Motorola RAZR V3i review helpful

Pros: itunes where available (some have just a regular motorola mp3 player, not much of a difference, but itunes is so easy to use), memory card backup, mp3 ringtones, video, data storage

Cons: so-so pictures; keypad is thin and makes typing text or #s difficult, just a downside of any razr; instruction book not very helpful; hacking might be necessary with certain bugs

With tmobile service a blank text message would be sent every time a voice mail came through...tmobile cant support the phone, and said v3i is not compatible with voicemail software... You can hack into the phone through free downloadable programs (p...2kman and xvi32) and fix it... look up the fix online, it worked for me. Kind of a hassle with the message bug w/tmobile, but fixable for someone who knows programming and otherwise its a good looking, quality phone. 2 accessories are a must, stero headphones, and data cable, mine came with neither and i had to buy seperately. Motorola RAZR V3i Cell Phone

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Jul 4, 2007 | 2 out of 3 found this Motorola RAZR V3i review helpful

Pros: Loud Speakerphone, MP3 Ringtones, Good Battery Life, Great Reception with Internal Antenna, 2 Awesome Color Displays, The Slim Line Aluminum Design

Cons: Does not capture video, not enough internal memory (5 MB), Phone Book needs improvement

we all know that the RAZR V3 looks sleek... a good question to ask is if it performs as well as it looks... IMO it exceeded all my expectations in terms of performance and is the best phone that combines style and function. this is the 5th cell phone... ive ever owned and the best by far. it has everything that i need (i think i can be classified as your average cell phone user) and is neatly packaged in a slick, (mostly) all metal, slimline flip phone. the RAZR obviously isnt for everyone. you will definitely hear people whine about lack of features(like no video capture) or the price tag. all i know is that im satisfied... until the RAZR with video capture comes out that is... ... It was love at first sight!

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Jan 13, 2007 | 2 out of 3 found this Motorola RAZR V3i review helpful

Pros: Sleek, sexy design; V.good on media.

Cons: Video playback gets slow after 30 mins.

What can I say? I just had to have it after I saw it. Blame it on the design. :-) ** The physicality: PRO: Sleek, sexy design. Light and small. Did I mention the sleek, sexy design? CON: The glass gets smudgy and I keep cleaning it. ** Media: PRO: ...I can load movies and videos on to it. Media sound quality is excellent! CON: The player slows down after 30 mins of continuous video playback. ** Games: PRO: The java games are entertaining enough. CON: Sometimes hangs. ** Battery life: I can go on 4-5 hours playing mp3's. ** Functionality: I used to be a Nokia girl so it took some getting used to Motorola but I did, and it's even better than Nokia! That's just my opinion. As for the texting, it is possible to change it to make it like you're texting with Nokia. But it's better because the phone remembers some of your commonly used short-form words so you don't have to type in the whole thing if you don't want to. If it wasn't for the few CONs I mentioned, this phone would have been a flawless beauty. Read more Less

Motorola razr is a great phone

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Jul 11, 2006 | 2 out of 3 found this Motorola RAZR V3i review helpful

Pros: It has alot of features to attract consumers.

Cons: Because of its ultra slim design, it is very easy to brake or drop.

The Motorola Razr is very fancy, it has alot of features that other phones do not have. For instance, its ultra slim design, or its high resolution camera/ video recorder. But it is defitenitly a expensive phone. I purchased this phone (razr) in octo...ber of 2005, since then it has been very durable and useful. Allthough, i dont recommend this phone to clumsy people, or in other words people who easily drop things, it is very slippery, and thin, and on top of it the most fragile phone on the market! In conclusion, i recommend this phone to almost anyone. Not worth the money

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Jun 11, 2007 | 1 out of 2 found this Motorola RAZR V3i review helpful

    Pros: Slim, sleek design

Cons: Menu is horrible, battery life is terrible

I have to honestly say that this is the worst cell phone that I have ever owned. And I have owned quite a few. The menu is not great and it takes too much time to find to figure out where you need to be to perform actions. The address book is the wo...rst. I hate that I have to have a listing for each number for a person in the list. On top of that, I have to be sure to label what number it is, (ie. Jane home, Jane cell, Jane work). I gave up on the iTunes function. Never worked for me. The battery hardly holds a charge and the talk time for the battery is horrible. Definitely needs a great deal of improvement. Everyone I know with a RAZR says the same about the battery. A friend replaced hers twice and she still had the same problem. I was quite excited when I bought this phone six months ago, but it was a huge let down. I will be replacing it this week. Read more Less

    Stinky Cheese Man Phone

By Yahoo! Shopping User  May 10, 2007

Pros: Can Down Load Your Own Ringtones using Motorola Phone Tools

Cons: Isn't recognized by Itunes on computer

This phone was supposed to be great, but really fell short of my expectations. After buying a $50.00 program from Motorola, i could finally download my own ringtones, but only ones from CD's I own. Itunes would not work, and would not let me do...wnload songs into the non-itunes player on the "itunes" phone. Poor phone, but great sounding. Not worth the money... get your cool features elsewhere... 2nd motorola in 2 months that i have bought (from Tmobile) with software glitches! Read more Less
