    motorola HS850

By John  May 2, 2007 | 3 out of 4 found this Motorola HS850 review helpful

Pros: good sound quality, long talk time, good range, ease of use

Cons: large and bulky by current standards, rubber piece tears easily, charge port is lousy

The HS850 was my first stab at the world of bluetooth and it was decent a experience. I live in an area where often there isn't even a single bar of reception and to talk using the phone almost guarantee's a dropped call. Enter the bluetooth,... a device that allows me to place the phone in an area with reception and walk around and use it. The 850 is rather large by todays standards but made up for it in sound quality, talk time and range. Verizon stopped carrying it or I would still be using it. In addition it does have some short comings such as a terrible charge port, cheesy rubber ear piece that tears easily and a connect to answer phone time that is rather long. Overall, I really liked it it better than its replacement the 700 and I would certainly own another one. This bluetooth would be an excellent choice. Read more Less

    Watch Out For Counterfiets. FAKES

By KevinL  Jul 24, 2007 | 2 out of 2 found this Motorola HS850 review helpful

Pros: Original one was Great, Sound Q, Sync Q and

    Cons: Fake one sucked

I purchased a total of THREE, two real and one FAKE. Pissed. I did a google search on FAKE Motorola bluetooth headsets. WOW, watch out. I then called Motorola and learned that the ACTUAL WHOLESALE price is $49. So anything below that will probably be... fake or used. The Motorola hs850 is awesome. However, I now use the Motorola H700 and love it as well. Syncs not as well. Kevin Read more Less
