The third iteration of Namco's officially licensed MotoGP racing series, MotoGP 3 brings along with it all the bells and whistles one would expect of a licensed product, including updated stats, tracks, and riders. Along with those found in previous titles, players will race on newly added circuits -- such as Sepang, Malaysia; Valencia, Spain; Phillip Island, Australia; and Estoril, Spain -- for a total of 15 circuits and 20 fantasy tracks. Cursory modes of play offered include Arcade and Time Trial, with the former presenting players with the opportunity to customize the track, weather settings, laps raced, and other such pertinent variables. The title caters to players of varying experience levels by allowing numerous computer assistance options to be toggled on or off, from Braking Assist to a simulation option. When the latter is enabled, a more realistic style of play is favored, causing riders to fall off simply by taking corners too quickly, leaning too far over, or by touching other bikes on the track.

The Challenge mode consists of 100 individual challenges, each of which present the player with a particular task, be it competing head-to-head against another rider or beating a preset race time. The successful completion of these challenges rewards the player with bronze, silver and gold medals based upon the specific prerequisites. As a result of beating these events, players can unlock content ranging from photographs to new riders. Legends mode pits racers against four past champions of the MotoGP circuit in single race events. Also new to the title is the addition of four-player split-screen races. Lastly, the requisite Season mode charges players with the responsibility of joining a team and competing in a full season of MotoGP events, with the singular aim of becoming the world champion. ~ Gavin Frankle, All Game Guide

Pros: You get to race against the worlds greatest riders.

Cons: You have to stop playing eventually.

This game is absolutely awesome. You feel like you're actually in the game. The race review is like your watching a real race. You become so excited once you're good enough to challenge Rossi. If you love to watch Moto GP racing, this game is... a must. You will not want to stop. Read more Less
