    Excellent Debut Album

    After years of working the L.A. circuit, THE MOTELS were finally offered a record deal with Capitol Records in May of 1979. The group recorded the tunes that help create their local L.A. cult following, and by September of that same year, their debu...t album, entitled simply "Motels," became a staple on FM Radio in the U.S., and by January of 1980, the band had a Top 10 gold hit with "Total Control" in Australia. Featuring the guitar genius of Jeff Jourard, the sensual saxophone workings of his brother Marty, and the seductive vocals of Martha Davis, the album is a must for any serious rock fan.
