Morley
A native of Jamaica, Queens, singer/songwriter Morley originally began her performing career as a dancer, receiving a full scholarship to the Alvin Ailey Dance Center at age 17. After a knee injury dashed her hopes of dancing professionally, she turned to choreography, also teaching dance and yoga throughout New York City's public schools, community centers and shelters. By the mid1990s, Morley was also writing her first songs, and in 1998 recorded her debut album, Sun Machine.
