This is ultimatly one of the best CDs out there today. It includes wicked tracks from "back in the day" that starts my memories flowing at least.

first of all i love the orginal 8 mile album all the rap songs are good on there except for macy gray and boomkat. dont buy this album because all of the songs are old i recommend the oringal. Really who wants to go out and spend 16oo-17oo dollars for old songs i sure wouldn't but hey who am i to tell you what to do.Do what you want but in the long run you'll probably be disappointed.If it were me id buy the original because it has all new songs and its probably the best movie soundtrack i ever heard.

I thought that is was to greatest movie ever in the world of movie making. Eminem is so hot that was just the perfect part for him. The songs in the movie were the bomb. The movie was just great.

all these songs are ancient. i dont know why it is called more music from 8 mile, cuz none of these songs were in the movie. also it says featering eminem, but he aint even have any songs on here cuz all his old songs are garbage. Maybe they should have just called this album hip hop classics cuz im not sayin the songs on this album are bad.

it doesn't get any better than this compilation.

I didn't really enjoy the 8 Mile soundtrack, but these tracks on More Music From 8 Mile are worth purchasing....

why?

When hip hop was in it's infancy... When Sean Puffy Combs (P. Diddy) was an unknown guy -- only known for producing Notorius BIG. When wu-tang only had a few albums. And when groups like west coast based Pharcyde added a jazzy laid back flair to hip hop.

If you are younger and are not familar with these tunes or tunes from the 8 mile movie, then grab this CD -- it will give you some insight into some of the songs my generation (including Eminem) grew up with, the songs that helped shape hip hop culture today. The songs that we use to jam with and still jam with during ol' school hip hop sets at clubs...

These were the tunes I grew up with.
definitely worth a listen!

I grew up on listening to this music. I like the beats, but God has given these gifts to these people and they could be so much more. Use what God has given you to build people up not tear down. saw the movie and thought there should have been more music and battles. Too much about his life, already heard enough. Em is badass, but cant belive I saw his movie. And there should have been more music in the movie, this cd is just another way of making money off you people. Ha ha ha!!!

if you were even listening to hip hop in 1995 you know the lyrics to everyone of these joints. the best (of course) is mobb deeps shook ones. if you were at a party or club in 95 and heard this shit ... you were spitting right along with prodigy and hav. i'm from detroit and have seen em battle other fools at st. andrews/the shelter. while this story is quasi-biographical, it really made me feel like i was travelling back in time. em's the shit, detroit rock city baby.

This is a well compulated cd. Songs by all of the good rappers who influenced hip-hop to it's greatest, like Tupac Biggie ODB and the rest of the Wu-Tang Clan. The album could definetly use some more unheard of the star himself Eminem.

I own (almost) all of these songs on the original LP, so I won't buy this album. But it is a great compilation of classic lyrical hip hop. When I saw the movie (after buying the original soundtrack) I was asking why they didn't put the songs that are in the movie on the soundtrack. They answered my question with this compilation.
