Montgomery Tully
An alumnus of the University of London, Dublin-born Montgomery Tully entered the British documentary industry as a director in 1929. Tully's first dramatic feature was the complex 1945 programmer Murder in Reverse. With few exceptions, the director has remained in the "second feature" field, turning out enjoyable but undistinguished mysteries, melodramas and sci-fi/fantasies. Montgomery Tully has also worked on a number of British TV series, and has kept busy between directorial assignments as a novelist and playwright. ~ Hal Erickson, All...
