    I actually watched the whole movie.

    Pros: Really takes you to the "times".

    Cons: Weak story & sloppy character building.

    I actually gave this movie a chance, even though I had heard it was a typical "chic flick". My wife fell asleep during the movie, but I endured to see the outcome. I have to say I was disappointed overall. Although it had the chance to b...e an awesome, heartwarming movie (I love period pieces), it fell short in many areas. I was extremely confused when we had been lured to utterly dislike Kirsten Dunst's character, but were all of a sudden expected to love her in the end, without any scene of redemption. They needed to develop the relationships with Julia Roberts and the students more, then the ending would seem more appropriate. It's a shame they didn't get more dynamic scenes from all of the talent they had in this movie. Read more Less
