This one followed the basis that made the TV series a favorite with the viewers. The plot and storyline was excellent accept that the idea of Mr. Phelps turning to the dark side was bothersome. The characters were well cast by veteran actors. The onl...y drawback was that the more action was needed in the midpart of the movie which tended to drag a bit. However all in all it was a Spy Thriller that reflected the TV series abaility to keep you on the edge of your seat to see what would happen next. Read more Less

I think Tom Cruise has shown in best performance in two films- Jerry McGuire and Mission Impossible. But in MI apart from Tom Cruise, there is the direction and the entire planning and plotting of the film which is the absolute BEST in this film. little more than a vehicle for Tom Cruise's self promoting narcissism. Plot and intrigue, which were the hallmark of the TV series episodes are not even laughable.

This is one of my favorates. It has action,adventure and a little drama.
This movie is difinely better than the second.
The only thing I dont like about it is the confusion. I would recomond it to people
13+ years old.

What makes this film so amazing is the level of complication it has. I would recommend seeing this movie with someone that has already seen it and can explain some of the twists to you. If you watch it alone, you'll probably end up seeing it 4 or 5 ...times. Read more Less

This movie is excellent

This is one of the best action movies I have ever seen. It is very complicated and intelligent and is the only film spin-off that doesn't make a complete hash and mockery of the original. I don't think the second one is as good though.
