Miriodor began in the early '80s in Quebec City, as an instrumental sextet. The band issued a self-produced LP, Rencontres, in 1985, before moving to Montreal and re-forming as a trio with members Pascal Globensky (keyboards), Sabin Hudon (saxophones), and Remi Leclerc (drums). Miriodor successfully blends classic progressive music, new technology, and new music.
