The eclectic, adventurous Minstrels released several EPs (The Minstrels Come Out to Play and Les Minstrels) before their full-length debut, 1993's French St. Laurent des Pins, brought them respect and popularity in the Quebec music scene. The Minstrels (whose music influences include bebop, zydeco, swing, and western) released two English albums: Ev'ry Which Way (1994) and West Coast Time Trippers (1996).
