Though Dominican based Bachata duo Miguel Bernie were new comers to the international recording world in with their 2007 release Todo por la Luna, the pair had already been performing regularly for close to a decade. Like many Dominican artists, it was their relationship with New York based JN records that would ultimately bring them to the tropical music world's attention. Singles from their debut album like "Ayudala" and "Como Quisiera Enamorarme de Mi" were put on heavy rotation on several tropical radio stations, putting Miguel Bernie in the favorable position as JN's golden boys, an act the powerful Dominican music label would be likely to push.
