    The soundtrack to this pre-adolescent adventure film is an uneven collection highlighted by characteristically quirky contributions by Devo ("Are You Ready?") and They Might Be Giants ("SenSurround")...also including a six-year-old cover of Stevie Wonder's "Higher Ground" by Red Hot Chili Peppers and a 1978 recording of "Free Ride" by its author, Dan Hartman...There are several specially written songs with a metal/hard rock edge, especially the theme song "Go Go Power Rangers," by the Power Rangers Orchestra...
