This movie makes me appriciate the beauty of life more. The movie is set in GA with lovely views. Makes me want to live there! I liked the southern accents the actors have in this movie. I don't think I want to judge this movie on any spirtual basis, because it wasn't made with morals in mind. I believe it was just made for enjoyment. I don't really focus on the death or rather murder of the movie, no, I saw past it straight through to the mello aspects. Although I am a friend of The Lady Chablis I truly think she made the movie. Keep kickin up those heels shug!

Though this film takes poetic liberties with the prose, the final result is wonderful on its own. The location shots are gorgeous and the tone and mood of the story reflect the nature of the historical part of the city. Kevin Spacey does, of course, present us with a fascinating character, but that would be nothing without the cluster of heavy talent surrounding him and the main character played by John Cusack. Its a love story between a city and its residents.

This movie was horrible. The acting was fine everything else failed. The script strayed so far from the book that the actual people where lost. And that added love story! What was that! Hey Clint. Mandy was Joe's girl, not John's. Even the real John was upset with this adaptation and rightly so.

Enjoyed this movie tremendously!Especially liked that alot of the characters in the book played parts in the movie @ Chablis, the judge was Jim Williams lawyer in real life etc.

A movie that couldn't have been any more fantasy-filled without aliens, and yet earily as real, with actors that somehow made you believe, though you REALLY couldn't! You want more? Watch the movie, review the insights in the DVD format, and dive into the book.

Kevin Spacey, as always, was divine, as was John Cusak. Some of the scenes were a little bit cheesy but the movie as a piece of art works fairly well.

Too much time wasted developing eccentric characters who had nothing to do with the story as Eastwood decided to tell it. Has a thrown together feeling. A and E Network's documentary was a better telling of the story and more dramatic also. A dramatic story poorly told with a totally weird ending that just didn't fit. Two stars is generous based on Spacey's performance.
