Pros: the funky jazzy beats...chorus...vocal ..lyrics...just the total package

Well what can i say..its 12:23 am and i got my headphones on and only 4 albums that i want to listen..Nas Illmatic....Nas It was written... ATQC Low end Theory and of course ATQC Midnight Marauders and my classic track from there ELECTRriC ReLAXATIO.......dont mind my caps letter...this album is great to ease ur mind and just flow as you listen..I know lotta listeners just wanna put their headphones on and listen to every single beat pump out from base to funky jazz..THIS IS THE PERFECT ALBUM WITH GREAT LYRICS....i will 4eva cherris that this trio or include Jarobi if you want to ..made this and Low End Theory ..which Mr. Muhammad Produced...GET THIS ALBUM YOU WOULD BE AMAZED AND SATISFIED Read more Less

This album is obviously Tribe's BEST album! And it's also included in the 10 ALL TIME BEST RAP ALBUMS EVER by a certain hip hop magazine. I have all the albums from the Tribe but this one is the most sacred. Just about everyone could remember where t...hey were and what they were doing when they first hear "Lyrics to Go". This album is sooooo well balanced and is one of the few albums where you can play it all straight through with out forwarding over a track because it's weak. It's super innovative.... and untra intuitive. This is an album that you would HATE to lend to a friend to hold because..... you know the story... THEY SELDOM RETURN THINGS! a truly 'wicked' or some wud say (they'd be american)'awesome' hip hop album of magnitudesss proportions. one of those albums u can play from start to finish without worrying about hitting a bad track. its immeadiatly kind to the ears but also has a ...hidden depth that is discovered with time. without a doubt a must for those who dig beats of a hip hop variety or those intrigued as to the sounds of hip hop. borrow it off a mate and minidisc tha muthaflipper! Tom Wolfe in some interview was talking about the naive garbage rap lyrics he wrote for his decent novel 'A Man in Full'. He arrogantly said that all the lyrics he read doing research were terrible (please email the article if you find it). Shutdef-...ckup you pretentious boob! I guess his lame ironic race politics got the best of him; he should stick to describing what people are wearing. I mention it because I was appalled that this jackass was talking that bogus chatter when such a masterpiece of hip-hop music as Midnight Marauders exists. The album is just pure joy and head bobbing, partying, booty bouncing jams with an astonishing lyric and musical inventiveness and quality. Turn it up at a throw-down or on a long drive and let the positivity and wit push you along. why is this unrated? too bad tribe is broke. this album and the low end theory is truely their best album. tribe called quest has their only style, and wit, which other groups can never follow. q-tip's rap is distinctive and dj muhamad's producing i...s the key of this group. Read more Less
