Los Temerarios achieved superstardom with Gustavo Ángel's ethereal vocals drifting across tales of heartbreak and deceit. "Mi Vida Eres Tú" became the group's calling card, as Gustavo cried out over a soundscape combining mariachi instrumentation with electric bass and percussion. The album also moved the group closer to pop turf, containing eight ballads and two cumbias, a formula the group would follow throughout the nineties. Despite the abundance of ballads, they managed to sound distinct thanks to keyboardist Adolfo Angel's melodies, which excelled at creating tension and building to a memorable climax.
