Nodding to such bands as Ride and the Jesus and Mary Chain, Los Angeles dream pop band Mezzanine Owls consists of vocalist/guitarist Jack Burnside, bassist Dan Horne, drummer Pauline Mu and keyboardist/guitarist Jonathan Zeitlin. After most of the members had met via local ads, Mezzanine Owls were born. The debut album Slingshot Echoes was recorded in Athens, Georgia with Andy LeMaster (Now Its Overhead, Bright Eyes, Azure Ray) and selfreleased in fall 2006.
