Pros: Beatiful images and grinning plots
Cons: Peices of oddity at times.
Overall "Memories" is a great movies to rent, own, copy, or whatever to see it at least once. Complied of many memorable images and the bunt of what anime is. A anime fan for a couple of years now I think this movies encompassed the why of anime. The first episode, "Magnetic Rose", is a lesson of how our reality is very specific and should not be skewed to our woes and pains. Just like Akira or Ninja Scroll, it not only dazzles us with vivid imagery but a story that could apply to anyone. "Stink Bomb", the second episode, starts like any zombie movie but quickly turns into a ear to ear grin fest. Maybe it's a warning to scientists and how they go about biological warfare. Or it could just be a funny story just to get kicks and grins. "Cannon Fodder" is the most interesting and puzzling of the three episodes. Perhapes it's a brief idea of our future? Or maybe a huge metaphor for our world today? Who knows. I think it will take the director himself to explain what this is. This movie is alluring enouph for first time anime viewers and interesting enouph for the veteran anime viewing professional. ...
