Synopsis: Memento (2001)
Synopis: Leonard Shelby is a man on a mission - to find and kill the man who raped and murdered his wife. He's also a man with a problem - the savage attack also gave him brain damage, and he now suffers from a rare and untreatable form of memory loss. He knows who he is and recalls everything up to the incident, but now he can no longer create new memories, meaning he can't remember people he's met, places he's been or things he's done even fifteen minutes ago. He's instinctually learned a system to help him - scribbled notes and photos in his pockets, tattoos all over his body for the really important clues he discovers - as he struggles through his frustrating handicap to find vengeance, always unsure of who to trust.Features: Memento (2001)

Users found this Memento review helpful For once I shall be brief, I don't want to hype the movie, I don't want to spoil the movie, go in cold... but I implore you all, EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOU, to see this film. It is a masterpiece, a work of true genius, intelligent, witty and tense... no, I've said too much, just go now, get up off your arse and run to your local multiplex, kick down the doors and yell; "MEMENTO! MEMENTO!" like Marlon Brando in 'Streetcar', except he shouts; "STELLA! STELLA!" like Ned Flanders in 'Streetcar!'... anyway, where was I? Oh yes, "MEMENTO! MEMENTO!" ... -

Cons: Can be Confusing
My brother gave this to me for Christmas, I had never heard of it. This was the best gift of that year, by far. What an outstanding film, from an outstanding director. "Memento" follows Leonard Shelby (Guy Pearce), a man unable to form new memories, as he searches for the killer of his wife. This is a fascinating movie that can be disorienting at times, but it is generally a roller coaster ride building up to a fantastic middle. Which comes at the end. You'll get what I mean. ...
